Scholarship for Gay Students

The current issue of Our World, a G&L Travel magazine, has the following
notice in it that may be of interest.
"Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts has instituted the practice of
issuing scholarships to students whose parents have cut off financial support
on discovering that their children are gay or lesbian. The University's
education coordinator began raising funds for the scholarship after a meeting
with students who had lost their funding from parents because they came out.
This is the first and only program of its kind at this time."
