NEWS

Spectrum, Loyola GLBTA Awareness and Support Group, is pleased to
announce that at 9pm on Friday, February 14th, comedian and activist
Margaret Cho will be performing at the College.

Those of us in the GLBT community here are incredibly excited over this
news and welcome all of you to our campus to join us for this awesome
event. Admission to Margaret's performance will be $15 dollars for the
general public and will include not only the event but a Q&A session to
follow. Tickets, which will go on sale via ticketmaster.com, should be
available within the next two weeks.

Until this time, I recommend checking out Spectrum's website at
http://www.loyola.edu/spectrum for information on this event (located
under the What's New section) and other events planned for the second
semester. As Spectrum continues to become a major force on the Loyola
campus, I welcome and encourage the opportunity for all of us to work
together in support of each others' causes and events.

MICA, UMBC, Goucher, Towson, Hopkins, Western Maryland College, UMCP,
Georgetown, Notre Dame, Howard, and the GLCCB should all be receiving a
copy of this email. If you are aware of anyone else in the area who may
be interested in this event, please direct them to our website. Also, if
you are interested in receiving posters/fliers advertising this for your
respective campus/office, respond to fgolom@loyola.edu and the materials
will be shipped to you as soon as they become available (most likely at
the end of January).

I look foward to seeing all of you at what will prove to be an awesome
evening.

Happy Valentine's Day!
